FG Declares Monday As Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 13, a public holiday in commemoration of the 2022 June 12 Democracy Day celebration.

 

Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Nigerians on this occasion and urged all citizens to support the present administration in its efforts at ensuring a secure, united and prosperous nation.

 

According to our informant President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation via a live broadcast by 7:00 am on Sunday.

 

Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, disclosed this during a briefing at a radio house in Abuja on Thursday where he detailed activities to mark this year’s celebration.

 

He said the broadcast will be centred on the celebration of Democracy Day on June 12th, 2022.
