FG Has Paid SSANU, NASU, But Enforced No Work No Pay Rule On ASUU And NAAT – FUO Lecturer Reveals

Dr. Chris Diri, a renowned Lecturer at the Federal University Otuoke has made it known that the Federal Government has paid the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU), Non-Academic Union of Allied and Education Institutions (NASU), but enforced the ‘No Work, No Pay’ policy on the Academic Staff Union of Universities and NAAT.

The public affairs’ analyst who made this known to Students Mirror, also said that they remain unshaken by the development.

He wrote; “The Federal government of Nigeria has capped its insults by without notice, violating the statutory 3-month window period, before allegedly slamming the dubious No-Work-No-Pay ‘Rule’ on us.

“To add salt to injury and subsequently rubbing it in, without provocations, government has paid our sister Unions-SSANU & NASU leaving ASUU and possibly NAAT out in the cold-in this hyper inflationary tormenting economic times.

We do not need any other sign or seal to affirm government’s unguarded disdain for us, ASUU, despite the fact that we’ve consistently and consciously borne the burden of the entire educational system without commensurate cushionionary measures. We will remain here until our glory returns” he added.
