Nigeria’s 2023 presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba II, has made it known that if he’s elected as President, he’ll scrap WAEC, NECO and JAMB and make admission easier for students.
He said “As part of our education policy, we will reengineer our primary and secondary school curriculum, stabilize, the system and eliminate WAEC, NECO and JAMB all together. All students that passes through the process of primary and secondary school system should automatically be qualified to get into higher institutions, based on this standard curriculum baselines.
“Our secondary school will mostly be driven by vocational training and education system.
“All tertiary institutions to set up their standards based on their criteria for entry, mostly based on eithics, resilience and strong determination to excellence.
“This will help save more money for the parents to be able to do something important, while we eliminate bottlenecks, gated fees etc our entry to a highee education system.
“Education is a human right, a state obligation, it shouldn’t be a privilege.” he added.a
