KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES FREE TRANSPORTATION SCHEME FOR UNILORIN AND KWARAPOLY, SET TO BEGIN TODAY

Sequel to the press statement issued by Office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kwara State on February 09, 2023 concerning the directive of the Governor to deploy free buses along specific routes used by students and staffs of tertiary institutions in the capital city, we wish to announce that this initiative is set to begin on Monday 13th February 2023 at 6AM

This intervention, in the first phase, covers students commuting long distances within the Ilorin metropolis, specifically for students of University of Ilorin and Kwara State Polytechnic. The arrangements are as follows:

•From tomorrow, a long bus is expected to shuttle between Post Office and Kwara State Polytechnic.

•2 long buses will shuttle between Post Office and Tanke (Edinwo Supermarket)

•Two different buses will shuttle between Tanke (Bus Terminal) and Unilorin Campus.

•All of these buses will operate between the hours of 6AM and 10AM and again between 3PM and 6PM (Mondays through Friday).

•All students and staffs are enjoined to be orderly in order to achieve a hitch free exercise.

•More information will be given to update the public as may become necessary.
