Sowore Fumes At Govt Negligence Towards Strike, Gives Buhari 7–Days Ultimatum To Fulfill ASUU Demands

Omoyele Sowore, a Nigerian human rights activist, pro-democracy campaigner, has called on the federal government to fill all agreements made with ASUU.

The former presidential candidate also tackled the government over its quick Intervention when airline operators threatened to down operations.

He wrote: “Instead of negotiating with ASUU to get students back to universities and lecturers back to teaching, this government was chasing airline operators who had threatened to down operations.

“I have been a student union leader and I know the pain that Nigerian students are currently facing having to watch your government do nothing to END ASUU strike. That is why I am asking President Buhari to end to this by fulfilling agreements with ASUU in the next 7 days.

We can’t continue like this.”
