KWASU PROFESSOR AUTHORS TETFUND SPONSORED ACADEMIC BOOK ON RESEARCH METHODS
A Professor of Business Education and Dean of KWASU’s Faculty of Education, Professor Titus Umoru has authored one of the Academic Books strategically commissioned to address the paucity of reading and learning materials in Nigeria’s higher educational institutions.
The Academic Books which were published under the sponsorship of TETFund’s Higher Education Book Development Intervention Project is a reactivation of research and publication of academic books in hard and electronic forms by the funding agency.
The book which is titled Research Methods: Fundamentals and Applications, addresses knowledge gaps in the methods of scientific research.
With research being a key activity in higher education, Professor Umoru’s book provides needed resources for students and early career scholars to tap into.
Responding to the development, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh has lauded the effort of Professor Titus Umoru, describing it as yet another way the University was contributing to national development.
Professor Luqman who noted the challenges students in higher education have in conducting academic research said the Academic Book on research methods would go a long way in bridging the knowledge gap of students and bringing them up to stead in contemporary research formats.
The University helmsman urged other academic staff of the University to continue to fill gaps in knowledge as well as innovate for national development.
Prof. Umoru’s Book, one of the fifty (50) which the Tertiary Education Trust Fund sponsored, was unveiled on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Conference Hall of the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja.
Minister of State for Education, Goodluck Nanah Opiah performed the unveiling on behalf of the Minister of Education.
